The Funky Fish Resort is on Malolo Island just 12 minutes away from one of Fijis' best surf breaks, 'Wilkes Passage'!

Wilkes is a right hand Reef Break.  So good even the Namotu Guys surf it!  The Resort offers daily 3 hour boat trips for F$50 per head.  During the 3 hours, the boat works as a back up boat and stays with our surfers to help out when needed.

Our Surfers also have the 'Back Up Wave' called 'Desperations' which works only when the swell is too small at Wilkes and Namotu. 'Desperations' is also a reef break directly in front of the Funky Fish and this wave can be great on its day.


On Saturdays we offer Namotus' famous left hander and Wilkes, which ever is working best on the day. We may even be able to get you on to 'Cloud Break' but this will only happen with forward booking and is at the discretion of Tavarua Resort.
